◆Conventional Covered Yarn,CCY

Wrapping hard yarn(ex.filament:polyester、nylon; staple: cotton、acrylic、rayon) around extend spandex fiber ,and that can be divided into singlecovered yarn and double covering yarn.

1. Single Covered Yarn,SCY:
   From 20/D to 140/D spandex fiber, extending the spandex fiber as the center core, then wrap one hard yarn in S-twisted(anti-clockwise) or Z-twisted(clockwise) around extend spandex fiber outer layer.
2. Double Covered Yarn,DCY:
   From 20/D to 2240/D spandex fiber, extending the spandex fiber as the center core, then wrap two hard yarn on the lower and upper levels in mutually inverse way(S- twisted and Z-twisted) around extend spandex fiber outer layer.

By the compressed air, spandex intermingles with hard yarn similar to Air Texturing which is the most common product method of twisting plant.But basically regarding the spandex protection, ACY’s protection effect is worse than CCY’s

SCY , DCY and ACY’s Pros and Cons :

Our company basically use Polyester Draw Texture Yarn and Nylon Draw Texture Yarn as hard yarn to cover spandex yarn, following are the feature:
